Vermont Road Trip Itinerary

Alright, alright, alright….

So I went to Vermont last weekend and it was epic…and a lot of you asked for my road trip itinerary so I’ll cut to the chase and give you the goods.

Day 1: Friday. Boston, MA and drive to Hannover, NH to Burlington, VT.

The first stop I made was at Still North Books & Bar. I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich. https://www.stillnorthbooks.com/about

Afterward, I drove to Ledyard Canoe Club and rented a kayak for only $5.00! Yes, $5.00/hr.

http://www.ledyardcanoeclub.org/ This was so peaceful and such a good way to break up the drive out to Burlington.

After the kayaking, I drove to Burlington, VT and met THE @francisciles from TikTok in real person at Kru Coffee on Church St. https://churchstmarketplace.com/go/kru-coffee

Isobel (@thefrancisfiles) suggested I try Taco Gordo https://www.tacogordovt.com/ for dinner which was absolutely amazing. Do yourself a favor and get the Al Pastor taco. Chef’s kiss.

Afterward, I took my camper van (oh yeah, did I mention that I took a camper van with me?) to Lone Pine Campsites https://lonepinecampsites.com/ which was great. To be honest, I didn’t spend that much time here, but it was clean, friendly staff, and there were bathrooms and showers. So as far as I’m concerned, 10/10.

Day 2: Saturday. Burlington, VT to Stowe, VT.

Okay, so I woke up and went to Barrio Cafe http://www.barriobakeryvt.com/ (also a great recommendation from @thefrancisfiles). As I was sitting at the cafe, I overheard two guys talking about the farmers market so I thought that was pretty divine hearing and rearranged my morning plans to accommodate.

The Farmer’s Market (https://burlingtonfarmersmarket.org/ ) did not disappoint. I highly encourage you to go if you’re in Burlington over the weekend. I also stopped in Barge Canal Market while I was there (https://www.bargecanalmarketvt.com/ ) and afterward, I found the Burlington bike path and walked along the water for about an hour. Then I got a second coffee at Speeder and Earl’s https://www.speederandearls.com/. I ordered the Cherry Bomb, and it was pretty good, but you should order their iced maple late, because to be honest, that looked better lol.

From there I got in the car and started my drive to Stowe. SO BEAUTIFUL! I stopped at the Trapp Family Lodge for lunch at their main restaurant (which was just okay) and a sweet treat at KAFFEEHAUS BAKERY & DELICATESSEN ( https://www.trappfamily.com/bakery.htm ) which was amazing (def try this place and take in the views).

Afterward, I drove to Barnes Camp Loop and did a short hike. https://www.greenmountainclub.org/vermonts-new-favorite-loop-hike-barnes-camp-loop/

After the hike I stopped at this consignment store and found the BEST treasures. Highly recommend stopping here on your way in: https://www.creativeconsignmentsvt.com/

I parked my van and walked around downtown.

I had dinner at Plate: https://www.platestowe.com/ (I got there right when they opened at 5:30 and they already had a line outside the door! I would recommend making a reservation in advance).

The last stop I made was Idletyme Brewing. I ordered a warm apple in lieu of a beer and it was perfect! https://idletymebrewing.com/

Sady 3: Sunday. Stowe, VT to Woodstock, VT to Boston, MA.

Woke up early and started the day at Black Cap Coffee in Stowe.

From there I did a little photo walking tour downtown. Then, I started my drive to Woodstock, VT. I took 100 South and it was the most amazing drive. Highly recommend taking this scenic route so you can stop for the most beautiful videos and pictures.

Okay, the last stop I made was probably my favorite from the whole trip. Sandy’s Books and Bakery. https://www.facebook.com/sandysbooksandbakery I think I ate the best bagel I have ever had in my life. (They make them fresh in house every day).

And the last last stop was Woodstock, VT. I didn’t do any eating, drinking, or shopping while I was here. All I did was walk around and take photos with my camera. (I didn’t have that much time to spend here so I intend to be back :)

And that’s it!!! Hope this helps.
